IOS命名法則

　Ciscoルータには、ルータを制御する専用のOSが搭載されています。そのOSのことをCisco IOS（Cisco Internetwork Operating Syste）と言います。

IOSは、Flashに格納されており、以下のコマンドで、どのIOSが搭載されているのかを確認することができます。

Router#show version

「show version」の出力結果は、以下の通りです。

　Cisco IOSには、命名規則があり、IOSのファイル名を見れば、ハードウェアプラットフォームがなにで、バージョンがいくつで、どんな機能をサポートしているのかが一目で分かるようになっています。

どんな、機能をで持っているのかは、「機能セット」で確認できます。詳しくは、Ciscoのサイトで調べる必要があります。

例えば、

Basic　：　IPやIP/FWなどのハードウェアプラットフォーム用の基本的な機能をもっている。
Plus　：　Basic機能に、IP Plus、IP/FW Plus、Enterprise Plusなどの追加機能を加えたもの。
Encryption　：　Basic機能、またはPlus機能に、暗号化機能を加えたもの。
